Joey Essex set for shock £1million career move after he was 'hit with a £300K tax bill' weeks after returning from Love Island with Jessy Potts

The news comes after Joey was reportedly slapped with a near £300,000 tax bill  The TOWIE star also reportedly has to return a £30,000 Covid Bounce Back Loan just weeks after landing back in the UK with girlfriend Jessy Potts following his stint on Love IslandJoey has had to sign a Declaration of Solvency document stating: 'I have formed the opinion that this company will be able to pay its debts in full together with interest at the official rate within 12 months.'Accounts for the firm were several years behind and his three other active companies are JDE Property Limited, Fusey Productions Limited and The Top TT Limited, which he set up in 2023 and is yet to file accounts.A representative for Joey was approached by MailOnline for a comment.The unearthing of his tax bill comes after Joey and Jessy, 25, were accused of faking their romance following their stint in the Love Island villa, despite claiming the romance was the 'real deal'.After missing out on a spot in the ITV2 final and being voted 'least compatible' the pair returned to the UK and have been busy attending numerous events separately.While Joey has been raking in a reported £250,000 on a club tour, Jessy has been partying with pals and attending movie premieres.The couple have appeared together for TV and magazine interviews, where Joey hinted at them starting a family.
